How to prove that “Lucifer” is Satan in Isa. 14:12-14  & that the King of Tyre is really Satan in Ezekiel 28:11-19

This article could help end the controversy between those who support and those who oppose the concept that Satan was Lucifer in Isaiah 14, and the comparable controversy over the identity of the King of Tyre in Ezekiel 28- is it Satan the Devil? Regardless of which side you are on, you may discover some very interesting, little known, biblical facts that could forever alter your view and understanding of these scriptures.

Are we the churches of God or the churches of Tradition?

What in the World are “All Things”?

                        by Richard Fix August 2005

In Acts 3:21 we read about the restitution of “all things.” What are these “all things”? Why do they need restoring? Is this a reference to the universe- or some such thing? Or, is this “all things” some thing quite specific and totally unambiguous? This article assembles puzzle pieces into a picture of hope and renewal- just like God said!

Does 2 Peter 3:10 & 12 Speak of the Elimination of the Physical Universe?

                    by Richard Fix

Many quote Peter in their claim that this entire planet earth will be utterly consumed by and in fire, ultimately to be replaced with a “spirit” earth of some sort. Others, slightly less ambitious, only claim the planet will be engulfed in a final fiery judgment that will “purify” it. This article addresses those misunderstood and misused word’s of  Peter, and those of his source, to sort out just what he really said. If you have ever wondered about what you were told and if it will matter in the end, then you will want to read this article to discover the end of the matter.

Sin and Satan

                        by Nehemia Gordon

We are all familiar with the biblical account of Job and how he came under attack by an angelic Satan. Do we realize that the angel of the Lord that confronted Balaam was a satanic angel? Few realize that the Satan that was an enemy of Joshua, in Zechariah 3, was actually sent by God to be the enemy! And the “satan” in 1Chr 21:1 who was sent to incite David was actually an angel sent by God. Have we really searched the scriptures of the Old Testament and examined just what they have to offer us in understanding of whom or what “satan” is? This article examines every usage of the term “satan” in the Hebrew writings of the Old Testament. You may be surprised at what the bible has to say…and not say about this “adversary”.

Genesis 1:26 and the Hebrew Noun 'Elohim'

                        by Richard Fix

Trinitarians and others claim that the Hebrew noun ‘Elohim’, rendered ‘God’ (Strong’s #430) in the first clause of Genesis 1:26, denotes more than one God Person (typically thought of or explained as “3 in 1” or “2 in 1” as in “one” family).  In support they point to the second clause of verse 26, "Let us make man in our image", being plural. Is their assertion valid, or does it fail to hold up under examination? This brief, but detailed, article offers a technical analysis of the language and grammar that will forever dispel this assertion.

Fire in the Sheep's Mouth

                    by Kevin Rynearson

The greatest book ever written is the Holy Bible. And while it exists, it will continue to be spiritual food for God’s true sheep, as well as a snare, distasteful, avoided, vehemently debated, and hated by the world. And God wants it this way.

The Genesis Creation- What and When was the "beginning" of Genesis 1:1?

                        by Richard Fix

The “Gap” Theory versus a 6,000 Year Old Earth, A Third Choice?  The Controversy Resolved! Could both sides be right? And wrong? Could both sides have based their “conclusions” on an assumed premise? It may be so. Yet, both sides “arguments” certainly appear to be biblically sound. How can this be? And is it really possible that both sides have “missed” the mark due to an unknown factor?

Teaching and Preaching

                        by Roj Beaumont

Teaching and preaching are 2 different words.  Matt:11v1 relates that Jesus departed to preach and to teach.  Since two different words were used to identify what Jesus did we might reasonably conclude that he did two different things.  But in what ways are they different?  What did Christ, Paul or the apostles teach and what did they preach, and to whom?

Church Services- What Is The Biblical Format?

                    by Roj Beaumont

Does the typical ‘church service’ today reflect what was in existence in New Testament times?  Does it make a difference?  Since it says in ICor:11v1 ‘Follow me as I (Paul) follow Christ.’; the place to start is the example that Christ set.  But obviously we can’t attend the Temple as there isn’t one today.  How about the synagogue? This seems a good place to start since: Lk:4v16 ‘On the Sabbath day He went into the synagogue, as was his custom.’.  Has the function of the synagogue changed?   The assumption most people have is that this was the equivalent of a Jewish church, with a ‘service’ each Sabbath.  Further study shows this not to be the case.

Are Sermons Biblical?

by Lon Martin, August 24, 2002

Quick! What was last week’s sermon about? Chances are you don’t remember unless the speaker had gone from ‘preachin’ to ‘meddlin’. Were you asleep? We could revive the old ‘cattle prod’ method of the Puritans, except that most people have learned to ‘sleep’ with their eyes open! The Biblical approach to Sabbath Assemblies would keep you awake due to the dynamic participation! We have assumed that God wants a one-man-show but the scriptures provide a much different scenario. The Sabbath was set aside for a learning experience and “it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed” (Romans 13:11).

God Demands Freedom of Speech! Sequel to: Are Sermons Biblical?

by Lon Martin, November 21, 2002.

The prophets of God were slain for boldly proclaiming the truth. Jesus was crucified because he passionately spoke the words of His Father. Millions of martyrs died rather than remain silent. Today, multitudes of people shackle themselves into darkened galleys, each repeatedly whispering the mantra: “ALL SPEAK the same thing”. Yet lacking courage, FEW EVER SPEAK! In our small porthole in time, while freedom of speech truly prevails, why are professing Christians afraid to speak out in their own congregations, among their own brethren, about their own heartfelt personal convictions? When did apathy triumph over passion?

Agape Love, Is It Just For Christians?

by Richard Fix, June 2, 2002

The WCG descended groups still teach a very exclusive version of the modern Protestant “agape love” doctrine. It is said that this love is only available to those who are truly begotten of the Father. (Essentially only COG members) All other humans are considered to be totally incapable of possessing or expressing “agape” love. Yet “men loved (agapeo) darkness rather than light”. And “the Pharisees… loved (agapeo) the praise of men more than the praise of God.” This amazingly simple and brief Bible study into “agape” love may very well leave you shaking your head and asking yourself, “How could we have blindly accepted this Pharisee-like teaching for all of these years?”

Constantine Wrote Matt. 28:19 Into Your Bible!

by Lon Martin, Sept 15, 2001.

A Roman Emperor insisted that Trinitarian doctrine be inserted into the Latin Vulgate Bible, as it was being written. The booklet explains how the fraudulent text has crept into every modern English version of the Bible, and has even eluded being discovered by the Church of God!

The Name "Lucifer"

                    by Frank W. Nelte

Has Satan deceived you about Lucifer? Lucifer, the "light bringer", was framed! Jerome amended the Latin Vulgate Bible to include a slight of hand trick that virtually no one, modern translators included, has ever detected!
